I have two Kershaw autos: the Iridium G10 and this, the Launch 23. I'm not sure I could pick an absolute favorite between the two because both are total homeruns. The L23 feels incredibly solid in the hand. The scales are aluminum alloy with substantial angular channels designed to enhance the comfort and security of one's grip. Whether my hands are cold, wet, or dry, this knife is not going anywhere. The pocket clip is quite stout and allows the knife to ride very low in the pocket, a feature I prefer in a folder. For lefties, the clip can be reversed. "Launch" is a great name for this model because when you activate the release button, the blade launches like the USS Enterprise in warp drive! I love the shape of the blade, it can handle any task you might require, and the tip comes to a fine point that pierces without effort. The steel, CPM154, is quite good and takes and holds a razor's edge. Like the Iridium G10, this blade is so sharp it will cut you if you look at it too long....... almost. When closed, the blade centers perfectly between the scales, and the gimping is just the right size and amount. Overall, it's a great looking knife and one that I would happily purchase again. Let's not forget the fact that this is an American made item with a solid lifetime warranty. Again, I hold that value is the sum of an item's quality, practicality and price. Using this formula, I can tell you that the L23 is a superb auto that will certainly bring a smile to your face. God bless!
