The Wilson Combat Bullet Proof® High Ride Beavertail Grip Safety is precision-machined from high-grade solid carbon steel bar stock, providing exceptional strength, dimensional consistency, and long-term durability compared to conventional cast or metal-injection-molded components.
Its wide, rounded beavertail profile accommodates a higher grip position while providing a comfortable contact surface. The raised Posi-Release tab promotes consistent grip safety engagement, while the recessed hammer pocket accommodates compatible Commander-style and bobbed spur hammers.
Specifically designed for 1911 pistols equipped with Series 80-style firing pin safety systems, this Bullet Proof® grip safety features a narrowed safety arm for compatibility with the additional internal safety components.
Featuring the Wilson Combat compound radius design and a traditional black oxide blued finish, this full-fit grip safety is intended for high-end custom 1911 builds. Professional frame modification and refinishing are required.
Installation Note: Due to manufacturing tolerances between different 1911 pistols, minor fitting may be required. Wilson Combat recommends installation and fitting by a qualified gunsmith.
