The Wilson Combat Bullet Proof® Extra High Ride Beavertail Grip Safety is precision-machined from hardened stainless steel bar stock, providing exceptional strength, dimensional consistency, and long-term durability compared to conventional cast or metal-injection-molded components.
Its extra-high ride profile accommodates an elevated grip position, while the wide, rounded beavertail provides a comfortable contact surface. The raised rear tab promotes consistent grip safety engagement, and the pocketed rear tang accommodates compatible Commander-style hammers.
Designed for high-end custom 1911 builds, this Bullet Proof® grip safety features the Wilson Combat compound radius design and a modified grip safety arm for convenient disassembly. Its brushed stainless steel finish complements stainless and two-tone 1911 pistols.
Unlike drop-in alternatives, this full-fit grip safety requires professional frame modification and may require refinishing.
Installation Note: Due to manufacturing tolerances between different 1911 pistols, minor fitting may be required. Wilson Combat recommends installation and fitting by a qualified gunsmith.
